RuneScape runs two live games, Old School RuneScape (OSRS) and RuneScape 3 (RS3), each with its own gold, Grand Exchange and Bond price. Here is what each is worth in real money, and how they compare.
How the cross-rate works
A Bond costs $8.99 in both games, but trades for about 10.6 times more gp in RS3 than in OSRS. Dividing the two official rates gives the purchasing-power ratio of one gold piece in each game.
Formula: OSRS $/M ÷ RS3 $/M = 0.7745 ÷ 0.0731 = 10.59. Uses official Bond prices only, and ignores third-party sellers and in-game fees.

OSRS vs RS3: which is which?
Old School RuneScape launched in 2013 from a 2007 snapshot of the game and is developed with community polls. RuneScape 3 is the continuation of the modern game with newer systems and a much larger money supply. Same publisher, separate accounts' progress, and separate economies.
